Orange Dyed quilted maple with suspended copper mesh in purple resin and black micarta bolster with copper liners.
Really nice Halloween vibes on this one with lots of chatoyance in the quilted maple that gives the handle material a lot of movement. This western handle design is made with a more forward pinch grip in mind and a balance point that is in front of the bolster. Thin at the pinch with a forward biased balance point make for a nice rock on a cutting board while keeping the tip down and feeling light and nimble in the hand.
Extra thin behind the edge and 2.5” (64mm) tall at the heel with an edge length of just over 8.75” (225mm) makes for a capable and sturdy every day driver that doesn’t feel too oversized.
